Your Photo Could Take You to the Galápagos Islands

If you’ve always wanted to visit the Galápagos Islands (and have your photo featured in National Geographic magazine), here’s your chance. Entries for the Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest are now open and photographers can submit entries in six categories – Animals/Wildlife; Nature; People/Cultures; Travel; Weather; Inspiration/Keep Going.

Contestants, who must be residents of the US, will be vying to win a National Geographic Expeditions trip for two to the Galápagos Islands, plus have their winning image published in National Geo magazine. Entries close on June 30.

“You don’t have to be a professional or have professional equipment to take the perfect photo,” says National Geographic photographer and contest judge Jim Richardson. “I’ve seen a lot of great pictures that were taken with perfectly ordinary digital cameras, just because the photographer happened to be in the right place at the right moment.”
